As a travel enthusiast from Durham, I recently had the pleasure of staying at 40Winks, a charming boutique hotel overlooking the magnificent Durham Cathedral. the decor, a beautiful mix of modern and antique, immediately caught my eye as I walked through the door. the attentive staff, fluent in English and Malay, ensured a warm welcome and made sure every detail of our stay was perfect. Our room, complete with a comfortable seating area, garden view, and soundproofing, provided a peaceful retreat after exploring the local points of interest such as the Stadium of Light and Sage Gateshead. the private bathroom, flat-screen TV, and cozy bed with luxurious bed linens and bathrobes added to the comfort. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast served in the elegant dining area. the full English breakfast was a culinary delight, setting us up perfectly for a day of sightseeing in the vibrant city center. the convenient location, just a 10-minute walk from Durham, made it easy to explore the nearby attractions. Overall, 40Winks exceeded all my expectations with its impeccable housekeeping, friendly staff, and convenient location. Whether you're a solo traveler, a couple, or a family, this hotel is the ideal choice for a memorable stay in Durham.
